WHAT DOES THE BBA LOGO MEAN?

Wherever you see a BBA accreditation logo on Sandtex Trade packaging, it means that we have submitted that particular product for extensive testing by the British Board of Agrément (BBA), the UK's major approval body for new construction products. The logo validates the claims we make for the performance and durability of our coatings and unequivocally demonstrates their fitness for purpose.

Agrément Certificates are recognised by specifiers and other industry decision-makers as proof that the products have been rigorously assessed, will allow compliance with Building Regulations to be achieved, and that they will last for a defined period.

The decision to secure BBA certification for a product is not one that we take lightly. The process is expensive and products are subjected to the most stringent assessments including rigorous laboratory testing and on-site evaluations. Our production facilities and processes are also audited as the BBA needs to satisfy itself that adequate quality control systems are in operation and that the specification of the product will be maintained consistently.

BBA accreditation is an ongoing process and in order to retain our certificates each product has to be reassessed every three years.
